Welcome to Penny's Pie Shop! I am Jocelyn, your neighborhood sweet tooth and pie baker. I am mama to a toddler and a golden retriever (named Penny!) - they are my most loyal taste testers. I am a medical speech language pathologist by day and an aspiring baker by night.

Baking has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember - my first cook book was a well-loved, tattered, church recipe book that my mom kept in her kitchen. My mom had one measuring cup and a microwave oven - my earliest home bakery set up!

These days, my favorite thing to make is any sort of laminated flakey pastries, especially fruit pies! I also love to experiment with new flavors that draw from my childhood in Taiwan. I am learning to write down my recipes instead of measuring from my heart (though I truly believe a few extra chocolate chips never hurts!).
